Waking up to the apricot glow of early light passing through wind swept curtain nets, the dawn air kisses you good morning. Soft white silk sheets roll over like a sea of milk. Yet nothing is more enticing as the glass of unfinished single malt waiting patiently on the bedside table. You take a sip to wash the throat, and head for a shower. Cleansing from yesterday’s debaucherous gaiety and tomfoolery debacles. You put on your loyal linen suit, polished oxfords and silk scarf. A dash of your “secret” spicy and woody patchouli-laden cologne dribbling down your neck and off you go. The communal stairs always make that creaking sound and smell of smoked woods. You doddle chin-up, tabloid tucked beneath the armpit, around the city, often reminded that it’s hard work being you. The day is short, and the night is long, so little time to plan for the evening. The sun sets, the trees turn black, the shadows part, this is the curtain call, for the show has just begun.

Bois D’Ebene is a polite and sophisticated woody scent, that develops with the wearer all day. By evening, darker, earthy and musky tones take over abandoning all sense of self-control. Addictive and lasting.

From his workshop, Aurélien Guichard, Master Perfumer, shares his work and reveals his creative approach. An idea takes shape around an exceptional natural ingredient, which has many olfactive facets. His work will reveal and sublimate the best nature has to offer.
