Contrary to its name “Still Life” is in fact bursting at the seams with energy and movement. Inspired by a photograph within a photograph of three silver disco balls, it definitely has the same sparkling quality as light reflected from giant glitter spheres.

“Still Life” starts with the irrepressible citrus brilliance of yuzu, a Japanese fruit, which is then amplified and spiced with three different kinds of pepper. So prepared, the wedges of yuzu are then squeezed and released into a warming rum cocktail, sweetly flavoured with anise and enlivend by the tonic, bittergreen touch of galbanum.

And to make things easy for our poor intoxicated selves, perfumer Dora Arnaud has prepared a cozy amber and cedarwood cushion to soften the highly probable fall.

This is a perfume for celebrating life, summer, friendship or whatever else you might want to celebrate. Or simply wear it for no reason other than that it smells good.
