Mefisto Gentiluomo is the perfect gentlemen’s cologne created in 1888 for the traditional Italian barber’s shops.

With their handsome hardwood floors and leather chairs, the shops, combining traditional men’s grooming with political and literary conversations, were the perfect environment for the gentlemen who wished to look slick and sharp, ready for all special occasions.

Mefisto Gentiluomo is a perfect blend of precious Italian citrus oils, Mediterranean lavender flowers and orris extracts, crafted with precious sandal and cedar woods.

In 1888, Claudio Casomarati founded the C. Casamorati Perfume Factory in Bologna, a perfume house that enjoyed great success all over the world for its magnificent fragrances and bath soaps. During those years of production, Casamorati received numerous awards and precious rewards from major national and international exhibitions. Queen Margherita of Savoy loved Casamorati essences to such an extent that she gave the founder her gold pin as a sign of gratitude. Around the mid-twentieth century due to a financial crisis, Casamorati was forced to close the factory. These perfumes disappeared from the market until Sergio Momo, founder of Xerjoff, decided to bring Casamorati back to the glories of the beginning of the century.  The Casamorati perfume collection combines the highest luxury and quality materials paying homage to Italianness, art and nature.
